The latest jobs report shows that employers have been hiring at a healthy rate.

In November, U.S. payrolls rose by 211,000, powered by widespread growth. The labor force gained 273,000 people, while the jobless rate stayed at 5 percent, the Labor Department reported today.

One industry that had a good month was construction, which added 46,000 jobs. Other growth areas included professional and technical services, health care, and food and drinking establishments.

Meanwhile, employment growth in previous months was revised higher. For both September and October combined, there were 35,000 more jobs than earlier reported.

“The solid November jobs report, following the blow-out one for October, strongly suggests that the August and September softness was a fluke,” wrote¬†Nariman Behravesh,¬†IHS Global Insight Chief Economist, in an analysis.
