Employers added 222,000 jobs last month, according to the latest data on the U.S. job market.

In another sign of strong job growth, the employment gains for the previous two months were revised upward by 47,000.

“The June jobs report showed that the US jobs market still has a lot of vigor,” wrote Nariman Behravesh, chief economist for IHS Markit, in an analysis.

Health care gained 37,000 jobs, while social assistance added 23,000. Financial activities and mining also grew.

Meanwhile, unemployment increased from 4.3 percent to 4.4 percent, according to the Labor Department. Behravesh wrote that this occurred for a “good” reason: the addition of 361,000 to the labor force exceeded the 245,000 increase in employment.
